Sephora VIB Shopping Haul

My Sephora Haul

Today was the first day of the VIB Beauty Insider Appreciation Event! I believe Rouge had early access and actually started a few days ago. Sephora has 3 tiers to their rewards program – Insider, VIB, Rouge. During this event Insiders get 10% off, VIBs get 15% off, and Rouge get 20% off. You can use a discount code online once during the event and multiple times if you shop in store. I’m part of the VIB tier. I’ve been shopping at Sephora for many years (even before we had a local store here in Anchorage, Alaska) and I think this will be the first year that I’ll hit the highest tier! I’m very close to the threshold and I don’t know whether to be excited or be ashamed for how much money I’ve spent on makeup this year! I’m feeling the latter right now!

I was going to order my products online, but I was worried that my order wouldn’t get to me before I leave for my trip. Sephora is usually pretty quick about mailing orders, but during big sale events a few extra days of processing time is usually added. I looked up everything I wanted online and I checked to see if it was at my local store. Low and behold, everything I wanted was magically in stock. I decided to take an early lunch to beat the traffic and go downtown.

Here are the goodies I got (Retail prices are listed):

Sephora Cleansing Wipes

Sephora Cleansing Wipes in Watermelon, $7.50

I’ve been buying cleansing wipes in bulk from Costco. I’ve been buying the generic Kirkland brand wipes and they get the job done, but sometimes you need a fun scent every now and then. I see that they have a Pineapple scent online – I may have to order it when I’m out of this Watermelon scent.

Sephora Collection PRO Expert Sponge

Sephora Collection PRO Expert Sponge$14

I’ve been on the market for a new blender sponge. I was drawn to this because a storage case is included – perfect for traveling! I was surprised how small it was when I saw it in person, but it claims to grow twice as long when wet.

Tatcha Travel Set

Tatcha Pore-Perfecting Moisturizer & Cleanser Duo$25

I’ve been wanting to try Tatcha products for a while now! I decided to buy this little set so I can try it out before committing to the full size versions (the 5 oz full size cleanser is $39 and the 1.7 oz full size moisturizer is $68).

FOREO Luna Play Plus

FOREO LUNA play plus, $49

I have been a proud Clarisonic user for the past 7 or so years. I’ve been on the market for something that’s more travel friendly. I’ve heard a lot of great things about FOREO so I wanted to give it a shot. I picked this version because it’s small and because it’s powered by a single AAA battery. They also had another version online that is on sale for a whopping $20 (originally $39), but the battery is not rechargeable nor can you put a new battery in it (WTF, right?! What a waste!). The claim is that it’s good for up to 100 uses… While the price point was more intriguing, I opted for the “plus” version since I can simply put a new battery in it after the original battery dies.

I was going to wait to try it while on vacation, but I’m too excited about it so I will try it out in the morning.

fresh BLOOMING BEAUTIES

fresh BLOOMING BEAUTIES set, 500 Points

A few days ago I redeemed 750 points for a FULL SIZE of the fresh Soy Face Cleanser! I had to jump on that deal. The full size version is 5 oz and retails at $38. I haven’t tried it yet, but the reviews look great. I saw this 500 point set in the store and thought it would be a great set to bring on my upcoming vacation. It includes a cleanser, face moisturizer, lip balm, and a toner. Perfect!

Here’s my wish list of things I didn’t pull the trigger on:

What did you buy or what is on your wish list?!

Disney Style – Minnie Mouse Vibes

IMG_5391

I’m so in love with this Minnie Mouse inspired ensemble!

If you know me well, you know that I am in LOVE with polka dots. Polka dots remind me of 2 of my favorite things – Minnie Mouse and I Love Lucy. I am drawn to red with white polka dots, black with white polka dots, and navy with white polka dots. Oh, and I usually only like polka dot designs when they are perfectly spaced apart. I know, it’s one of my weird quirks… Haha!

  1. Double Hooded Sweater – $54.99 from Mindy Mae’s Market
    • A friend tagged me in a Facebook shop boutique last week. My jaw dropped when I saw it. I’ve always loved the look of double hooded sweaters, but I don’t own any since I don’t get to wear hoodies often. I had to make an exception for this beauty.
  2. Disney Mouse Ears – $4.99 (YES, you read that right!) from Ulous on Etsy
    • I originally got a cute Minnie Mouse bow headband that were from Tokyo Disney. The only place I could find them was on eBay. Unfortunately they are uncomfortable on my big head. I was so happy when I found my new ears on Etsy. I also got black pair with white polka dots.
  3. “Be Quick” Clutch – $22 from Ju-Ju-Be
    • Yes, a “baby bag!” I have 2 other “Be Quicks” by Ju-Ju-Be. They are roomier than they look and they are machine washable. The included strap can make the bag a handbag or a wristlet. It doesn’t come with a crossbody strap, but I added one to it and love it even more. I hope by the time Sean and I have kids, Disney & Ju-Ju-Be will have an official collaboration!
  4. New Balance Minnie Mouse Shoes – $99.95 from Shop Disney or Zappos
    • I loved the New Balance x Disney collaboration from the get go! These shoes are so comfortable. I picked this design out of the collection because I loved that this pair is all black and minimalistic.

If you find any cute Minnie Mouse inspired looks, please send them my way! 🙂
